Requirements for Applying to German Universities

For a German Program

Bachelor’s degree:

High School certificates equivalent to the German qualification
German language level between A1 and B2

Master degree or MBA program:

School leaving certificates equivalent to the German qualification
Three or four years Bachelor Degree (108 credits) or Master I degree
German language level between A1 and B2
For a degree course in German Language DSH or TestDaF

Visa Requirements

1. Proof of health insurance

Admission Process

1. Choose a university:

- 2000 programs to choose from
- Limited opportunities to study in English at the undergraduate level
- Make sure you’ve chosen the right subject
- Consider the latest rankings of top German universities
- Check the course content

4. Apply:

- Have your file prepared with the required documents
- Submit the application at least six weeks before the deadline to ensure correction time in case of any missing information
- Transferring the fees of the application

2. Check admission conditions:

- Differ from one university to other
- Differ from one case to another (bachelor, master, Ph.D.)
- Differ according to specialization in case of medicine
- Language requirements

5. Grant your health insurance:

- Required before applying
- Required before having a student visa
- Required before the residence permit
- Students with public health insurance from EU and EEA countries are covered in Germany as well.

3. Manage your finances:

- Financial proof depicting your ability to cover your living costs and starting a blocked account.
- OR having a sponsor living in Germany proves that he can afford all your needs. In this case, you will not need to have a blocked account.

6. Satisfy the visa conditions:

- University acceptance
- German language accomplishment till B1
- Registration at a language institute
- Academic background
- Health insurance recognized by the German Embassy
- Financial proof
