To apply for Student visa for longer than 90 days an applicant usually needs to submit the following documents:
-proof of health insurance
-proof of financial resources
-proof of previous study
-proof of German language skills or plans to take a language course in Germany
-Letter of acceptance from your university
Requirements of financial resources:
Assets of around 10,000 euro Security on a blocked account at a German bank.
Proof of parents' income and assets.
Or guarantee from someone who lives in Germany and agrees to assume the costs of Study for the applicants.
Work and Study:
Students are allowed to work 90 days/year (= eight hours/day) during their study or 180 half days/year (= four hours/day).
The working permit will be included in the visa.
Students earn between 6 and 15 euro per hour. This varies according to the city.
